Use Your Head, 1996, 35mm, 100 minutes
Use Your Head is about three pairs of people in a government sponsored drug study. The film follows the characters through the ten weeks of the study, ostensibly extracting the greatest hits of their conversations. The conversations take flight as we leave the confines of the study to visualize the experiences they're talking about. But before we get too deep: it’s a comedy about life, about the kinds of things that actually happen to people.
Though the drugs are part of the content, the study is primarily a structural device. The film is about conversations, thoughts and philosophies.
